Being on the vintage OE block side of this specific discussion, those power levels are a little out of reach.
I reckon I am more of a "kissing the 550-600" range while accepting the reality that beyond that range I am taking risks...

My I interest lays in the details. Combinations. Power under the curve. Broad midrange heavy power curves. Best average torque within a given range.

Peak numbers, bragging rights and egomania bore me to tears.

Those heads have been available for years with the CNC port too. Promaxx does machining in house so I imagine they bought the program, I have had two sets of SB Chevy castings, the local machine shop liked them and said night and day better than Speedmaster, Ive never had Speedmaster but the Promaxx were really nice and looked nice too, Winegart does there SBC Shocker program

Are you installing the headers on engine first and then installing it in the engine bay ? Or putting them on after the engine is installed?

Thanks Gerry, Ive fought the 4 bolt for 30 years and think I'll take an easier route this time, Mike I hear you on the 4 bolt and OCD as I've been doing it that way since the beginning , Fastback 427 I been using the small bolt headed bolts too but my Crites headers are still tight

what's the center line mark on the valve stem ? Surely not rocker witness marks I would think or it's darn perfect if it is ... I bet that was a running sob , it would be nice to see flow data on these are

Ross , I was told about the spacer plate but he never mentioned specific bell housing or anything like that, I do have a QT top loader bell housing that I would like to use. Thanks for the reply

Brent, I would like to use my QT bell housing, I'll have to check the shaft part number out but I do have a buddy that could turn down the shaft now that IHRA went belly up he has some extra time now, I asked about the TKO shaft but the guy on the phone acknowledged when I said the TKO had a different shaft but never mentioned they were the same or it was an option on the TKX. 475 fetoploader, I'm wanting to use my top loader bell housing and change my McLeod single disc Soft loc to dual disc street clutch on my 63 Fairlane, I have a mechanical clutch now but considering hydraulic since the clutch linkage rubbs a little bit on the inner tie rod on tight left turns.
