Oh good, happy to hear.
I hate when these little details get ignored… simple parts, simple problems.
Let me know if I can help get it dialed in as you go, happy to help.

I wouldn’t consider buying a used nascar unit when Quick Performance exists.

Oh and sorry if I let the Boss9 cat outta the bag Jay.

At least I posted it in the right forum, not like the Lykins fella showing us Clevelands we don’t wanna see 😂😂😂😂

To update on my end.
I made a bunch of small changes to the calibration so they should run better with his cam.
Also blueprinted the works.

Ran fine

No drama, adjusted fine.
Jay should just be able to set floats, mixture, idle speed, and be good to go.

Guess we will see.

Biggest issue would be the mile wide gap between the main body and throttle body.

The idle feeds are kinda crushed too, I’ll open them up a good bit.

A new sub forum labeled "Non-FE Dyno Results" would certainly help.
Flathead forums do not showcase FE's.
Pontiac forums do not showcase sbc or BBC's.

Many, many have left this once awesome forum. Now it's dominated by half a dozen users.
Again, sad to see.

Can't say I agree with that.  On the first page of new posts, there are 15 different users that started threads.

If many have left this "once awesome" forum, it wasn't because of 2 SBF dyno result threads....

Was probably due to people whining about free advertisement instead of just saying “sweet engine build Brent!”

Oh and sweet engine build Brent!

FE Technical Forum / Re: “Autolite” AGM battery

I had one of the agm Autolite batteries.
Lasted 10 months.
And yes, I had an optima smart charger on it.

I just buy a Duralast Gold every 6-7 years now.

Someone let Larry Dubas know his email has been hacked and someone is trying to scam people like me into giving him money.

Thanks

My comment was not directed at you, someone said something else above.

Anyway, I always go back to stock settings and work from there.
With the exception of altitude, stock jetting is normally pretty close.
Only thing I ever do on early 3310s is do away with the secondary power valve. Most people get confused by it, so easier to leave out.

Secondary jetting is not larger due to a greater demand of fuel.

They are larger due to no power valve enrichment many times.
Also in the case of a 780cfm carb, the venturi are larger than the primary.

Example:
I just sent two boxes from my shop in Georgia to Spain via Fed ex.

Box one:
14x18x24 55lbs

12x12x24 32lbs

Total for these both (combined) was $390.
I find weight honestly isn’t super critical for Fed ex, but play with the overall dims.
There is a very specific reason I use certain standardized boxes.

USPS is cheapest for sure. I have had international shipments go astray tho and some have taken 2-3weeks.
Fed ex is the next cheapest. Find someone like myself with an account, it makes it fairly reasonable. Typically doesn’t take very long.
DHL is hands down the best international shipper. They literally are just the best. I wish I could ship every carb to every customer with dhl.

Ups I would not consider. I shipped essentially the same box back and forth from my house to denmark. I did this same exact shipment a dozen times. Was always $160ish
One time ups marked down 30inches instead of 30centimeters.
I was initially charged $160.  Later they added an extra $588 to the bill due to the package being larger (it was not)
Two years of claims and they still deny that happened.
