Gearvender E-brake interferance

Gearvenders OD unit smack in the way of E-brake cables. Vehicle is '60 Starliner,
C6 trans. Has anyone engineered their way around this? I have no desire to reinvent the wheel so thought I should ask first.

I have a very similar problem maybe. I retrofitted an electronic 6 speed auto in to my 68 Cougar. I anticipate that the cable that crosses over just behind the transmission output may contact the new driveshaft. It will be cool to see what other's have come up with. As it stands my E-Brake cables are rusted up and never functioned but I'd like to correct that moving forward.
If the contact is minimal it may be possible to use a nylon pad/channel or perhaps a pully to route the cable away from the GV on both sides. Depends how much length the cable has in it's adjustment.

Here's what I ended up using. My local hardware store Menards sells these heavy gauge blank hinges. So a little cutting and bending allowed my to use it as a collar to keep the cable away from the driveshaft.
