Got a set of iron heads with some problem exhaust bolt holes. Partially stripped, either from being rusted/seized or damp storage.
Should I just helicoil them or is there an insert that works better in this application?

The Heli Coil repair has always worked well for me but if I had access to a good welder, I'd probably weld them up and drill and tap them.

Heli-coils work perfectly well in that location
