headliners!

what does everyone do if they have a full roll cage in there 64 fairlane for a headliner?i think i can get a stock one in with the bows but it will be tight.i like the stock looks,but i wanted to see if anyone has ideas,such as a glue in cloth?

Have the roll cage built with the headliner in place. Zero problems.

I left the old headliner in place as a pattern while the cage was fabricated, then had an upholstery shop remove that headliner and replace it with a new stock-type item. Headliner installation is labor (and experience) intensive to get it right.

mine was gone when i got the car back from paint.and yes it looks easy but i am sure its not install stock type one.
is there another option?

I installed one of these a few years ago when only TMI made them. Others make them now as well. Not sure though you could sneak it in past the roll cage.

YouTube is your friend. There are several videos even some installing the molded type in MoPars, I believe.

does anyone know what the healiner bows look like or what position they go in are the 64 2 door sedan?

Left mine as-was when the roll bar went in.  Just used big sheets of aluminum as a heat shield.

My buddy had a 64 Fairlane street car with a full cage, it was very difficult to reinstall many of the interior pieces.

The Fairlane Club of America has extensive on-line tech articles and I'm sure the headliner bows arrangement is mentioned in one article.  You have to be a member to see the info, but its only $35 a year.  One of the few car clubs not ruined by politics like the Shelby and Mustang clubs.
