WTB. Mallory tach drive YL dual point dist.

Want to put a mech tach on the black car AND remove the unilite.   I run one on the wagon, so would like to find similar unit.  No crab caps! (Already have that version).

Well, I would like to drive it before then.  I appreciate the offer.

I have a very vintage YC model(two piece cap) with tach drive that I first ran in the wagon on the street in early 90's.  It had issues so I replaced it with the YL model maybe 20 yrs ago.  I had thoughts of going through it and see why it was screwing up(timing was constantly moving around causing random slowing down and not running the number).  I might tear into it this weekend, if I have time, and see what I can do with it.

I could lock it down and just put a start retard on the 6AL box.  Just another thought.  This is why an old distributor machine would be handy to play with.

Well I had time to check today and have 2 YL and 2 YC Mallory's with tach drive provisions. One of the YC's however is about 3/4 inch taller to the cap mount not sure what's going on there, it's just a taller body. I'm not letting any caps go either crab or 2 piece.

The YL version in the wagon is only around 3 3/4" from intake to cap mounting surface.  That is down from 5 1/4" tall for my YC and crab cap YL.  I need that short body to clear the blower drive.  Basically needs to be a factory distributor height.
