posting pics with a HD smartphone
« on: January 14, 2013, 04:42:02 PM »
The smallest photo that can be archived on a HD smartphone is 644MB. The largest photo this site will except is 128KB that means if your system is not capable of shrinking it that small you cannot post pictures. You can post on Facebook, Yahoo and Go ogle no problem except it takes a lot longer.

Most people will post a photo on a photo sharing site & link it in the post. If you want to upload pictures to the site you can use one of the many resizing applications or use one of the many web services.:

I checked and it looks like you can do the same thing with Photobucket, if you need to resize pictures.  But as stated previously you can just upload pictures of any size to Photobucket and link to your post.

I'll see if I can do it that way, the last suggestion requires downloads into your operating system which phones do not have.

Your operating system should be Android4.0

You are correct on the system but it is set up on a phone that you cannot download programs into it like a computer system. I can only download pics or aps  but nothing for programs.

http://s68.beta.photobucket.com/mobile <== Link for photobucket mobile.  It is to download a program to an Android phone.  All you have to do is enter in your phone number.

Unless I'm misunderstanging something that is...

It does not give me an option to edit and I only can share to twit or face crook. I can re- download the pick but I do not know how to shrink the file size?

Hey Jon
I think the resizing is throwing you off.
When you upload to photobucket there should be no need to resize.
You just cut and paste the link from Photobucket and then the picture MAGICALY appears on the site.
The resizing is just for Jays specific site and that`s why some photos only appear when logged in and some
are up all the time.
Something like this.
Although Jay would probably have a better handle on all this photo stuff.

Your honing in on it.
Now you have to use the IMG code.
When you click on the picture a box should open and you click on the IMG code box and
the it should say copied.
Then you paste to your post.
At the begining and end of the link you need [IMG]xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx[IMG]
That is the image link code.
