Sparkplug gaps

While using an MSD box for ignition on a 10.5 comp fairly stout cam engine would .035 gap be a good starting point ?

My .05 cents is .035 to .040 is a good place to be.

I like 0.035" even with a good MSD ignition.   I have a 10.5:1 engine and have tried wider gaps.  I never found any improvement.  I did think it missed in certain conditions with the wider gaps.  I think I went up to 0.040"-0.045".   I went back to 0.035" and have never had a problem since.

I had the same experience.  Using a Duraspark and MSD 6AL.  Engine started and ran reliably at .035.  I tried from .055 to .040 and it picked up misfire over .035.  My assumption was that modern inductive systems are running .060 gaps and seem to do fine.  Nope.
