RC12YC for use in Edelbrock heads!?

Edelbrock suggests RC12YC in their heads. I HATE Champion plugs. Perhaps something has changed, but somehow I doubt it. Any suggestions for use in a 428 dual quad application?

Autolite 3924's.  I run them in my Ed heads with no issues.

   Keith 3924 Autolite for "moderate compression" . I use a hotter plug as the aluminum head pulls heat out of the head ( obviously) far better than an iron head. I'm not a Champion fan either , too many "duds" when I used to get them for free.

Autolite 3924 for 90% of applications.  Though they are not made in the USA anymore.

I wouldn't run Autolite unless it was the only plug available , terrible quality control and the center electrode will be crooked , NGK , Denso or Champion it what I would use , my shop used Autolites exclusivly for years and won't touch them now

      Good to know! I tend to buy them at automotive swap meets ( I have three sets on the shelf) so I am probably getting older stock . I will stay away from current stuff thanks to your insight.

I like Denso/NGK plugs. I have a very fast Saab and I used them in it. 13.7 isn't too shabby for a 2.8L Caddy six that came in the Aero Convertible.

years ago,i mean 25-35 years ago i run champion plugs in my 390s,drove them to work every day for years and  i never had one go bad.i would change them every couple years just to be changing them.i know nothing about them now but i havn't had any luck ever with the autolites.im currently trying e3 plugs.so far so good,but im not going to brag on them till i have run them for a year or two with no problems.

I use a lot of the Autolite 3924 plugs with no issues at all.

I use Champion C61Y race plugs on the high output engines - also with no issues.

The E3 plugs are good for 10 horsepower.  In the wrong direction.

good to know,i just wish i read this before i blew 50 dollars.like i said im not going to brag on them.  with the autolites i was talking about 25-35 ago.not the 3924s. but i did have one 3924 go bad after a year of daily driving.they might make good power on the dyno and out the door, but run them 300+ days a year and any make could have 1 plug go foul.im sure that im well into the bottom half of the members with fe knowledge and building skills but one things for sure i bet im well into the top ten percent of members that have gotten to enjoy FEs over the years. i have daily driven them for over 40 years and i have always owned one or more the whole time.drove to work and back 33 years,36 miles round trip 5-7 days a week. i raced them from late 70s-early 90s.even as a teen i burnt up the roads with my dads FEs. and from 18-25  before i got married i drove them to work all week and dated and run around with the guys on the weekends.my comet im driving now,i have put 4 different FEs in it in 37 years of driving it. it has nearly 500,000 on the chassis. unless they quit making gas or take them away from me,im driving them till im dead or not able to drive. FEs FOR EVER
