I am trying to confirm that Felpro 1020 works well with the Edelbrock aluminum heads without issue.

Works just fine.  I've had mine together with this gasket and E-heads for something like 15 years or there abouts.  It's a pretty standard head gasket.  Compresses to around .040", good sealing.  There are other options out there, but you asked only about the 1020.

Yes, works fine.  Those are what I have under my Edelbrock heads.

I wasn't aware but after talking to another FE builder and Edelbrock I guess you can safely run 2.19 INT 1.73 Exh on a 4.155 bore without notching. Edelbrock advised me there is a cant built into the intake valve so they can be used. Is anyone else running the 427MR valves in the Edelbrock heads on a 4.155 bore?
I asked about Felpro 1020's because that is what I bought. They can be returned.  The new block is being square decked and align honed to hopefully avoid any further issues.

I been running 2.200 and 1.750 valves with 6005 edelbrock cnc kuntz heads in my race engine (4.150 bore) with no issues at all. I did do a little cylinder notching, not because of clearance but just to un shroud the valves a little.
