Non- FE 1981 Dually Pickup on Kijiji.ca (Canada)

I know nothing about this truck. The term "original" must be explored here. I wanna believe it wears its factory paint.... FWIW, in American dollars its around 10K and mileage is less than 25,000.  Great potential. JMO.

Neat ol truck.  I'm liking the color combo.
That 351M was a dog from the word go.  Wouldn't be worth much other then cruising it around town.

A 400 crank and set of pistons from Tim Meyer would be the way to go. I have a 400 in a 77 F350 and it has been though hell, was loaded to max for the first 30 years of it life. In the 15 years I've owned it I replaced one head due to burnt valves with a spare from the iron pile and a timing chain few years ago. Only reason it got the chain was while I was in the possess of changing to a 4bbl intake the oil pump[ shaft pulled out so I had to remove the front cover to fish it out. Its just thirty over with what I assume is some small rv cam, but it is a running SOB. But it is getting tired. A very underrated engine platform imho if treated correctly.

The M's are kind of a tall deck Cleveland with a good block. A lot of potential but there weren't any good factory cylinder heads for them IMO which is their biggest short coming. The 302c heads are good, but these days with the availability of affordable aftermarket aluminum heads the 302c heads aren't as appealing as they were 10-15 years ago.

Damn good starting point for a bitchin tow rig. Drop in a 3208 Cat. Adapt a 4R100 to it. 19.5 Alcoa's. Tint the glass. Keep the retro paint. Roll to the races in style.  8)

Hmmm - 10K?  I can buy a 2004 F-350 Super Duty 6.0 crew cap locally for $21K with 80K on it.  The 1993 350 we have had 103K on it, perfect and the $5500 we paid was about $500 too high.  Guy parked next to be last year at the track - 1999 super duty crew cab, 7.3L, red, perfect, about 60K - gave $9K for it, private sale.   The blue one is a looker, 10K is a bit much.  4 speed + 351M = tows a 20' bass boat and not much more.
