Grease The Transmission Yoke ?

 Sometimes I grease the throw out yoke and sometimes I don't.  I really can't see a difference either way but I've never been sure what the best answer is.  I wonder if the chance of making it sticky is worse than what little wear you are going to get ?  getting ready to do it again so I was curious.

If you must, use a dry lube like a spray.

The throw out bearings usually have an indentation in the inside of the bearing collar where you are supposed to lube with a high temp moly-based type lubricant.  That will lubricate as it slides out and back.  Joe-JDC

You mean the bearing sliding on the transmission retainer?   Yes, I always put a touch of wheel grease or such on the retainer so the TOB doesn't get stuck.  It's real bad with later model transmissions with alum retainers(and steel TOB).  The old steel ones not so much, but always better with just a little film.  The bit of clutch dust won't hurt it.
