Based on this quote alone, I wouldn't trust that all of the buyer's screws are tight.

OK OK OK! I admit it. I bought this car. Sheesh. No reason to rub it in. I would have paid 50k even, but the seat belts are the wrong color and the driver's window crank is clocked in the wrong position. So, tampered with.
Put 10,000 a year and a trailer hitch on the wagon and a new Transit. Save your GT40 as a weekend cruiser. 10 years from now post the maintence cost and photos. Your wagon is still going to be an eyesore but I bet it is still going for next to nothing.

In reality, I have three wagons, none of which are this '72. They are a 1964 Fairlane 500 Ranch Wagon in original Wimbledon White (289/C4) soon up for sale, a heavily optioned 1963 Galaxie Country Sedan in original Raven Black (390/Cruiso) which is destined for restoration and a trip to Barrett-Jackson, and a 1967 Mercury Commuter in original Tiffany Blue (390/C6) which might stick around here for a while.

My parents bought the same car, though in dark green in 72.  Dad traded in his '65 Skylark.  He kept this until he bought his "Festiva" in 78?  79?.  Pretty sure there is a picture of it somewhere in the family photo album.

Coolness. I offer you 40 grand. Would be more, but some clown cut holes in the hood and put gang graffiti on the windshield.  :)  Also, needs 545 for grocery duty.
