Roller Rocker valve stem alignment

This roller tip/valve stem does not look to be in alignment.  Do I need to have the rocker arm milled so i can get a shim in there to get the alignment correct?   This is Harladn Sharp Street rockers  Also it looks like the end stands may be hitting the tops of the APR head bolts.  is that common and do you typically have to mill the end stands?

Cut the stand or the spacer to get them spaced correctly.

You can take a die grinder to the end stand if they don't clear the bolts.

Is that the only one ?
Is it only on the end stand ?
Looks like the 2 spacers showing need to be removed and the end stand needs to go towards head center. How you do it, I don't know.

 don't think removing the shim seen in the pic will allow that rocker arm to move due to the stud thru the end stand, but I will try it

We wrestle with the Sharps sometimes.  Getting valve tip alignment and pushrod clearance at the same time.  While the Sharp ones are nicer parts, the oft maligned Dove had an offset that addressed to pushrod and rocker tip issue.

I don't see a spacer between the stand and the rocker on that last one. Your only real solution is to have the inside of the stand trimmed down on the inside, like Brent said. I wouldn't cut the rocker. I can't say I've ever had that issue with Sharp rockers, having used them on factory iron stands, Oregon Cams stand system and a set of Robs, from Blue Oval, but I imagine Barry has used a few more different stand systems than I have.

In the pic it looks like the stud is over to the inside of the hole
Or actualy the end stand is over to the outside of the head
If you remove the two shims can you move the endstand toward
center of the head?

When I did my build, Edelbrock heads, Harland Sharp Roller Rockers, and ARP studs, I found that there was enough slop between the studs and stand bores to achieve good alignment.  I don't recall having to remove or move any shims, I think it was as recommended by manufacturer.  Certainly did have to apply some light motivation axial and radial to the rocker shaft assembly while tightening things down.
