Bob Glidden was the consummate racer. He could do it all. My good friend Dave shook his hand at a race and thanked Bob for all he had done for Ford fans. Bob was genuinely touched and thanked him. My condolences to his family, and friends.

We walked up to see the Glidden car at the PSCA race a few years ago in Vegas. We talked to them for a minute and I asked about the sweatshirt that the guys were wearing, if they had one for sale. Bob said sorry they didn't but maybe they should start making a few extra's for fans and such. After BS'ing for a bit longer Bob walked into their trailer and came back out with a sweatshirt and handed it to me. It was his and I didn't want to take it but he gave me a "oh there's more back home". I had never met him prior and I hadn't seen him since, so that's my only Bob Glidden experience, I'll remember it though.
