What's the differences between Barrys two books ?

Does one have more infomation on building the side oiler ?

One has not been published yet...

If I am able to finish it up (close) the second book will be more basic rebuilding oriented, covering the process step by step instead of the performance parts and combination structure of the first book.  Essentially I follow a near stock 428CJ rebuild from disassembly to completion in increments with a lot of photos.

Wonderful, please let us know when it's out.
Will you have it on your website or Amazon etc ?
I'll order the first one today.

Thanks Barry,
Kevin

Jay bought a dyno
Jay bought 150 freaking intakes
Jay bought probably 70 intake gaskets
Jay built 4 different engines to test all those intakes on
Jay published the book himself, so he could sell you a $38 book that probably took 5 years of his spare time and this book literally GIVES away every secret, every tidbit of information he learned swapping 150 intakes (plus a bunch of headers and exhaust manifolds, carb spacers, etc) onto 4 different engines and dyno testing each one so someone could come onto the forum that he himself funds and whines about the cost of the book.

have a nice day.

The book I got from Barry had a centerfold in it with Barry laying naked on a bear skin rug. I thought they all came that way, maybe I got a special deal?
Canceled my order.

LOL!  Well, I only bought about 25 intakes (the rest I already owned, or borrowed for testing), but I'll bet I bought well over 100 sets of intake gaskets, and lets not forget a few hundred gallons of fuel and countless tubes of RTV  ;D

More to the point, the reason the book is $38 is that it is 288 pages.  Most automotive high performance books run about 150 pages, and cost $20.  So, in this case you get what you pay for.

The book is well worth the $38. Maybe the free FEPOWER sticker was what drew me in.  I should have bought it before my build.

Chris, you're just mean.     :'(

With my bad health, medical bills over 268,000, loosing 10k to my engine builder 9 years ago, but trying to gain my spirit back by finding away to build another engine for my 427 Cobra, please understand my position of being careful on how I spend money. I won't be building this time, leaving it up to a pro engine builder (at least a short block) So I don't need a book, but want Jays and Barry's anyway, so be a good boy.    :P

Well, I'd better get a sticker, or the buy is off !   ;)

Steve Christ book is good to have if you do all your own work. It has been said Steve Christ identification chart was all the information Ford had to offer at the time. The incomplete and wrong information on casting numbers has no bearing on the detailed technical data.

Jay's book is a lot more than flow data. Page 230 + has interesting data on oil pressure and temperature locations and changes. Engine dyno and in vehicle set up complement each other.
