I'm still hoping to have the '67 Cougar I've been building forever close enough to done to bring on Dragweek this year, but it remains to be seen if that will happen. It is mostly a scattered pile of parts still lol. I'm trying to make sure I have all the required pieces on hand though, and a lot of the sub-assemblies are ready to bolt on. If everything goes perfectly I think it is still possible, but we know how that goes

. The plan was to power the car with the 427 sideoiler I used to use in my '68 Torino GT bracket car in the '80's, it's been sitting for 25 years. I dropped the engine off to my machinist, along with my tunnel port heads, at the end of April and told him to pick a good solid roller cam for it and freshen it up. I'm trying to do the engine using as many of the existing parts as I can. I've been accumulating this stuff for decades, might as well use them, but the machinist will need to make sure all the pieces will play nice with each other, with more cam than it used to have. He's always pretty busy though, so it's also iffy whether I left him with enough time get it done before Dragweek. I don't have a plan B in place yet, we'll see where I'm at in August before I start thinking about that.
