Drag Week 2016, Quick Update September 10
« on: September 10, 2016, 10:14:01 PM »
Things have not gone according to plan for me and Steve, or Joel and Jeff, or Kevin.  At least Steve and I are at the hotel now, but we have some work on the car to do in the morning before heading to the track.  Joel/Jeff and Kevin are still not here, probably arriving in the morning.  Nothing is easy, because its Drag Week  ::)  I'll try to post a detailed update tomorrow night - Jay

I made it to National Trail Raceway, Jay should be arriving soon. Jeff & Joel are passing through Columbus about now. Alan C. Is here, I haven't spotted Doug yet.

Well I sure hope its something you can deal with easily. If it can be done you guys will make it happen. Best of luck this year Jay, I hope the car runs flawlessly. 8.70's at every track!! Joel as well. I've always been a little bit of a closet Mopar guy, and that GTX just does it for me.

Made it to the track at 11:30 today, and I found an issue with my front tire already. Luckily, Jegs had one in stock, and they're open on Sunday. Got the tire and already got a place lined up to get it changed first thing in the morning.
Drag Week!

Jay, It was a pleasure to meet you and Doug Smith. I saw you seemed pretty occupied so I didn't want to bother you. Here is a pic of your run earlier today.

Did all of our competitors make it to Norwalk without incident?  I surmise Jay did not report due to having to supervise the Drunk Monkey's celebratory inclinations..

We did all make it to the track as I'm sure you've all figured out by now. Like you read on Dougs post, the route yesterday was a challenge. We left the track around 5 and got to the hotel around 1:30 am. Jay's just been too tired at night to type. No mechanical issues on the drive so far.

To bad the trunk monkey doesn't do dictation from Jay during the drive and post when they get to the hotel. Best of luck, hopefully Jay can find a couple of tenths and move into the top spot. Jim
