I did have two Harland Sharp rockers (on separate occasions) loose the rollers right out of them on a street engine though.

That's interesting, why do you think the rollers give out? I assume your talking about the roller tip, not the roller fulcrum. I would think on a street engine the stresses would be no where near what a race motor sees. Lack of lubrication?

I'm building a large CI "healthy" street motor, so rpm isn't an issue, though depending on what can I end up with I may be well over .600 lift. Outside of bragging rights I mainly want to reduce friction, so to that end I am leaning more to the roller fulcrum with a roller tip. I haven't found a steel unit that will fit the bill. Again, like the steel for the long term. So far though the only rockers I have found that offer the roller fulcrum are the HS and the T&D, they look to be comprable in price, but the T&D look heavier duty.

Blair P claims it's hard to beat the factory non adjustable rockers for long term reliability, and I can definitely see his logic. But I worry about the lift, I don't want to hamper the heads by picking a cam with less than optimal lift just to keep the rockers happy.

Should be able to talk to Blair later this week, I'll get his thoughts and report back,
Thanks everyone for the advice.

I dug back always and see this issue has been beat to death before, I appologize for bringing it up again, I usually try to search for previous posts on a subject before I post anything. But honestly, I get sidetracked so much on this forum because there are so many great threads.....
A little FE A.D.D. If you will.

What kind of lift are you wanting to run?

I've ran .600" with non-adjustables and .650" with adjustables.

Not sure what lift I will be running, today is my last day out in the field, I've been working from 2am to 7-8pm for almost 3 weeks now.
So tomorrow I hope I can call Blair and talk to him about a set of his pro ports. I will go with whatever cam he recomends.
