That little piece of tin for the pointer will let you mockup your motor. Degree the cam for TDC and make a mark on it for 0 degrees and mark off the fore and aft degrees for timing. Or use timing tape on it.  Bet it fits larger aftermarket balancers too.

I ordered one since I needed one. Figure for $70 I'll try it, and Rock Auto didn't seem to show a supplier for an OEM one(or I'm not looking in the right spot).

Just received my Roush Timing Cover

Just received my Roush Timing Cover --- 100% optical illusion on the fuel-pump thread location - looks great and I stuck a FE mechanical fuel pump in it just to see all is well.
BTW: What makes the rainbow glare off the machined sections?

How's the thickness around the gasket area?

Pan rail area is 5/16" and block mating surface is 3/8" thick. Very robust looking. I like it. :)

Thanks for the gasket rail measure Jared.
Hey one more thing. Are the front pan bolt holes there?
Haven't seen that view in any pics. I see the corner front bolt holes but don't see the front.
They're prolly there, just no bumps or anything to know. Which suggests the casting is pretty thick.
Unlike the Shelby deal.

Marc, if you look above, you can see the bumps on the inside. It must be pretty thick towards the outer side.

And that was an optical illusion. That machining mark makes it look like that pump bolt hole is on the edge. Well played, Jack. Well played :P

I thought that was the Shelby part that had the inside bumps. ???
