New blocks
« on: November 14, 2015, 12:39:16 PM »
I was checking for a "new" 427 block. The BBM site lists "out of stock" . I know they check this site so maybe someone will have an idea when they will have more. It is good to see that there is that much demand...the old FE is rising again!

Sideoiler Garage is in operation but really only available thru Survival motorsports. No iron blocks at this time. Barry may see this an comment. They are a nice casting.

I've been way crazy over the top busy (at least a couple interesting, very challenging, but non-FE projects).  We can get aluminum Sideoiler blocks in a fairly short timeframe - several are in machining - but no iron at this time.

Is Jim  (Dove) still doing any blocks. I know at one point quite a few years ago he was only doing aluminum .

You might check with Robert Pond and see if he has any in stock.
We used one of his on my Tunnel Port project.

I feel your pain. Took me two years to get a set of heads back in early 2000's. Seems the big parts were few and far between. If you were in the click you could get a few things a bit quicker. Never had any prob getting any of the smaller parts though, rocker arms and such. Even a few of the intakes were actually available a few times. I think Jim is a good guy and did a lot to keep the FE alive, just seems he didn't have the resources to keep up with any kind of demand..

I have ten BBM blocks that are not spoken for at this time. Prefer to sell them in engine jobs, but would consider selling a fully machined and prepped block.  Just info...not an ad.

Blair's having 10 BBM blocks has got to be a fable - I don't know which fable fits but I assure you all there's one out there!

QikBBstang         ???TF

Some FE members are ahead of the pack,  or as my wife says "the m  asses"
Not hard for me to believe he might have picked up 10 or more.
