Or just like it looks straight up the road from me when it snows.  Nice shot Howie, that's postcard stuff right there, 'specially with Shep runnin' down the drive gettin' ready to gnaw on the mailman.  From here to there and all the way to Sweden too, Merry Christmas to y'all  ;D ;D

As I sit here looking out at the lake it is still snowing right now.
It looks like another plow event.
On one of the snowiest days I have seen in a long time didn't the plow take a dump.
Sitting cold and disabled.

I ripped the hyd cylinder bracket off the right A arm tube.

Some old fashion hole drilling and hot stick work and should be back in business.

Although the original joint is looking somewhat weakened.

Ready to do some snow pushing. About 2:00am. ::)

Standing it the same spot as the dog in the first pic. You have to push the snow all the way out to the intersection.

By the end of the day the A frame had ripped apart. Damn!

Were going to need a better plan.

Back in service with the new plan.

To get out you have to get to the intersection.

Just so I'm not totally losing it.
The Lane's roll bar is pretty much ready to glue it.

82* here in San Antonio, and I have already cut my grass two times!  Now if I could just get more energy to work on my projects.  Oh well, before long it will be summer, and too hot to do anything outside.   8)  Joe-JDC

Just to keep it in perspective we took on 6" last night and it was 13 when I got up to stoke the fire at 6:00 today.  Yup. spring is in the air ;)  We still have about a foot on the ground out here below I-90, stuff is like granite.

Heartbreak--not!  The live oaks are finally dropping their leaves, and I have 63 trees on my lot.  These leaves are worse than sand when it comes to getting into everything.  I will be removing leaves for the next 3 weeks or so, but at least I can wear my shorts and sunglasses while working. You guys can't make me jealous of where you live, no matter how hard you try! LOL  I could use the sun screen, but so far no mosquitos, and the grass only takes an hour to cut.  Tomorrow 83*, sunny, and low humidity.  Oh, I better hush, or you all will be moving this way.    ;D  Joe-JDC

That is a really light duty plow there, Howie. I'm surprised it holds up at all to the snow you get. I have 2 Meyers and 2 Boss plows at work, both using 4 springs and much beefier frames, and they still take a beating and require work on regular occasions.

Here's what happens when you try to do too much with a Chevy. And they wanted me to "fix" this!!??

So, is that the local Chevy dealer giving the thumbs up on the center-truck ground clearance? :o  Or maybe a failed attempt at hydraulics to get more leverage on the plow?............

Sadly, that's not the first Chevy from that generation I've seen folded up.  Tinfoil frames with zero strength when stressed in the wrong direction.  Bet he hit something hard and that load of grit just kept on coming.

It is a light plow, but when you get down the gravel you don't want to be digging out the road.
It doesn't hold up that's why I have to keep welding it. ;D

Actually he wasn't even using the plow, just turning around the circular drive with a load of salt in the spreader when it gave way. After removing the spreader with a forklift, the truck settled back down until the cab hit the bed and I drove it very VERY gingerly back to the shop.

And I know what you mean about digging into the drive, Howie. I have driveway and sod repair to do every Spring.
