I am doing a minor refresh of my stock 67 GT motor. Back in the 80's with the rebuild I had a machinist make some restrictors to slide in the oil galley just below the oil passage for the pedastal that oils the rocker shaft. When I dissasembled the head to get the guides redone this past week one of the restrictors was present and the other was not. I personally did not do the rebuild back in the 80's so I am assuming my assembler did not include one of the restrictors. The restricted shaft seems to be fine. My question is:
Should I have another restrictor made to match the existing one and place it in the head or should I just leave them out?
In general this is a fairly stock motor with a very mild cam increase and headers. Feedback would be appreciated.
