There were Mickey Thompson intakes like that, Their 1966 catalog didn't show a pic of the FE one though. Magnesium or aluminum and for Webers or fuel injection.

Borla (now owners of TWM) have contacted me about doing an intake just like that, using my intake adapter as a starting point.  We'll see what happens with that...

Is that Borla as in the muffler company?

Yes, that is correct.

Im no expert on flow but i think that must be
better than put the carb/throtlebody vertical
you get a straighter pat this way
A friend of me has built a intake like this
with Webers for a Cleveland Engine but its
not tested yet
Its built out of steel tubes with a piece of
rubber hose, so he can change the lenght
of the runners by using longer o shorter
hose.

Interesting. I'm a big fan of Borla mufflers. I run the Ataks on my GT and just recently picked up a set of their Pro XS series for the Mach. Good sound quality with little to no drone, great construction with quality materials, great flow for performance....and made in the U.S.A. They seem like a top notch company.

Then I find this page on their websight showing 427 FEs with FI setups.

Nice to see they are supporting the FE. It would be interesting to see what ideas they might have for you. Staying tuned....

I think what they are doing is building their fuel injection setups based off the Blue Thunder Weber intake.  So, if they now can use my intake adapter, they can do a crossram, kind of like the one that Royce posted pictures of.  That would be really cool...

That second picture in the Borla Gallery looks suspiciously as if it might be a Windsor. Maybe it's there because it's a 427!   :)

Which adapter are they going to use? Are they going to use the 351c port spacing or go with the strait ports of the 13002 manifold. I plan on doing a cross ram injection with my adapter, something like this.

They want to use the 13002 adapter.

Very reminiscent of the old CanAm FE and the Indy small blocks. I'll bet it would be popular with the '30s-'40s street rod crowd also. It would be a shame to cover that with a hood! The newer self-learning FI programs are making this stuff much more feasable for the average builder.

I'm kind of torn about the popularity of the FE being on the rise. I used to enjoy having the only 427 and/or performance FE around my area. You're not helping, Jay 8)
