Most non radial drag slicks are required to have tubes by their manufacturer, but I know of virtually nobody that runs tubes. I have Hoosier slicks on my Mustang, and M/Ts on my Fairmont, no tubes in either, and they work well, and can sit for over a month without needing any air added. I am thinking a quick time style tire would have thicker sidewalls than a real slick, so I wouldn`t worry about tubes myself.
