For the 2011 HOT ROD Drag Week event, the newly added rule in Modified that disallows strut conversions will be waived. We recognize that rules were released late and that some strut cars were already under construction.

That was my understanding from talking to Freiburger.  They want to keep the Modified class for stock frame vehicles.  They plan to put together a different class called "Limited" to catch vehicles like my Shelby clone.
