To much crankshaft end play

I need some help. I am building a 428 so i drop in a new crank today and i have .010 end play. i have tried three sets of std. speed pro and two sets of std. F-M all had .010 end play

If it's an automatic tranny, run it at .010 I say. Keep in mind that although the Ford spec is a max of .008, it's like Johnny Depp says in those Pirates of the Caribbean movies: they are just really guidelines! JMO.

Beat me to it! yes, XR7 answered this same question only a few days ago. King has oversized flange thrust bearings.
