I have fiddled around with many different mufflers. From tunable full race to cheap chinesium off brand garbage.
When it comes to the balance of good sound, not too loud, less drone at cruise, outright performance, and longevity, I have come to really like the Dynomax Super Turbos.
I always try to get them in the offset outlet, offset inlet style, but the other styles work well.
If I am working to get best performance from the muffler, I will up size the muffler inlet and outlet such as 2.5" exhaust pipe with 3" in/out mufflers, and so on.

I have used the Dynomax Ultra Flows too. They work well and last a long time, but they are noticeably louder than the Super Turbos.

The thing I like best about the Dynomax mufflers is they don't drone like so many other performance mufflers... that drone gets old after a short while, and deafening on a long cruise.
