i needed carbs for the tunnel ram and as it'll be almost exclusively a street car they needed to be a) smallish and b) holley's as i prefer/understand them. so when a small block ford polished tunnel ram came up with a pair of 390's on i did the obvious thing and tried to buy just the carbs. no dice there so i bought the lot and have advertised the manifold and filters for sale.
neil.
forgot to say they came with 2 boxes of holley jets too so that'll help with setting them up for my fe engine.

I like the idea of a street tunnel ram.  :)  I don't think I'd tee them into the metering block like the seller did, though.  That's for the spark advance and the vacuum secondaries should open by passages already in the secondary housings.  I think with them teed into the block, they would either open too soon or (more likely) not at all.  Just use a single vacuum line to connect the two caps together and plug the ports on the metering blocks, or hook the primary one to your distributor advance.  My 2 cents.

i've had a few tunnel rams on street cars, a couple were my daily drivers. mpg wise they're not much different to a single plane with a single double pumper in my experience. i mean most of the time on the street you'll only run on the primaries which then behaves like a double pumper right? they are good when set up right and nothing like the naysayers preach about them (maybe they can't/won't set them up right?). the myths about high rpm only race intake are just that.... myths. the long runners make good torque lower down in much the same way gm's tpi set up did in the 80's.
