Rear end question
« on: October 22, 2022, 02:09:09 PM »
I have a strange set up for my 63 and am getting ready to assemble it.
When I ordered my part's they put me on back order for my Daytona pinion yoke.
They were suppose to call me when they came back in stock but no word yet.
My question is since I have the Daytona pinion setup do I need to order a Daytona yoke to go with it.
I just can't remember as it has been year's since I have built one from scratch.

The way that Ford did it yes but Strange should tell you what will work with their pinion support. The spline depth on the Ford Daytona yoke/bearing support combo were originally unique to each other.

The last Daytona pinion setup that I did, I just machined 250 thousands off a regular Ford yoke. So far so good after 1 year in the race car.

Thanks for the info.I can do that if I can't find the correct one.
I could not remember what the difference between the two was.
