Giant bill from UPS
« on: September 29, 2022, 04:55:26 PM »
I think you guy's will like this.
I received a bill from UPS today for the large amount of $0.03.
I don't know what it cost to send out a bill by the USPS but read a few year's ago that it cost a company $8.00 to send someone a bill though the mail.
I was going to toss it but figured they would send me a new bill next month with a $25.00 late fee tacked on.

I got a $0.01(-0.01) credit from them today...

I think they have lost something more then a few hundred packages.

I received a check from AT&T one time for $.01.   I just pinned it on the wall in my office and would get a chuckle out of showing it to people.
(Just mail them 3 pennies in an envelope, they’ll probably return it saying they can’t accept cash!)

UPS seems to be imbeciles to me. I got a brokerage bill for just under $200 on a $500 set of Scat rods. Problem is I never saw the bill on the bottom of the box i'd been using to store other parts in until a year and half later when the box ripped and I thre it in the recyle bin

I used my UPS account and had a box mailed to me. Cost $180. Seemed normal for what I was shipping.

UPS took the $180. They also sent me an additional bill for $588 more on top of it.
They claimed the length of the box was 18inches not 16.
I got the box, measured it, sent pictures to the claims officer.
He was like “wow, so sorry, will take care of it.”
A week later I call. He now says “we are taking our guy’s word and not yours.”

And that is how UPS lost a $6k-$10k a year customer.
Screw them. Less damage via other vendors this year, so probably for the best.
