428cj heads

There’s a set of C80E 6090 N heads for sale pretty close to my house.  The seller says they’re absolutely original.  I find that hard to believe. Let’s pretend they’re unaltered from Ford.  I don’t need them for a restoration, but I like old Ford stuff. The fella wants $2,000.  I probably would not pay that.  I don’t like asking this kind of question, but what do you think is fair, assuming they’re as described?

Well, I paid 500 for a bare set about 12 years ago.......bought the pieces that go with, sent them to Les Schmader for porting and the valve job and it was pretty close to that number a decade ago.....1500-2000 seems to be the going rate
