Is Precision Oil Pumps still around?
« on: November 01, 2021, 06:32:54 PM »
Tried calling Doug and it says the number is no longer in service so wondering if anyone has been in contact with him recently. Thanks

The site says it's down for maintenance and it said the same when I tried last time, at least 2 weeks ago.

I hope they are still around.

He is shipping my orders, so he's still around....

I use email to talk to him.

I received an order placed 2 months back, after a couple weeks, so he is still there, like Brent said. However, it is damn hard to get much of anything, ordered in a timely fashion. Doug faces the same, I'm sure. What was once, a week or two, now I find "backordered" with no "hard" date for availability. I don't see it changing either, parts that were suppose to be available by October 2021, are now a "maybe" for February 2022. I'm just telling people, "no", ( I can't guarantee when parts will be available). I had one shop tell me, they are telling their customers, to get any orders in now. Parts availability is so spotty, lead times stretched out, so far, that they won't guarantee a customer to get their parts, in a timely fashion for next season (2022)! For people like Brent, Doug and Barry, it must be very frustrating.

I got parts from him just last week. Stuff is really hard to get right now no matter what it is, parts, materials, workers.

So we've established that he's still on Earth which is a good thing but how does one contact him? His phone number is disconnected, website and Facebook out of date and he's likely busy. I understand the supply chain problems and a Friend is looking for some items the Doug may or may not be able to find.

Thanks Doug..   My friends name is Howie Stevens and he's looking for some oddball ARP head studs I believe. He'll be calling from Vancouver Canada and the last 4 digits of his phone is 6990 in case that pops up on your call display. Sorry, can't help with Facebook and actually trying to avoid that place as well.
