OK, I've still got the camper on the truck all ready to go. I thought I might come out just as a spectator.

I would be there Weds thru Sat.

Does anyone know if the onsite camping is just for participants or is it available for spectators also?

Kinda late to be making this decision and I'm trying to figure out my options.

I would really like to make it this year.

Erich

Tried calling them but no answer and voicemail box is full.

you pay an admission fee, so I think that would make you a participant.

I`m not gonna make it. The car didn`t get done, and I`ve been way to busy at the shop. All my weekends this month are loaded with something going on.

Talked to Mike the track owner today. Parking and camping are free. You must pay admission for each day and each person. No hookups, bookdock style and the showers never got installed this year.

Shady and Doug, thank you very much.

I figured it was boondocking. Wish I had bought that little generator when I was looking last year. I only have the 1 aux battery in the truck. Don't think it will last that long! Everything else runs off of propane so I'm good there. I'll figure something out.

Looks like I might make it after all!!!

Thanks again, Erich

I am not going to make it.
Car is not currently running.
Trailer has my complete engine dyno cell packed into it.
Just finished up exiting prior building yesterday after lease non-renewal.
New building went from nice, clean and organized to "swap meet chaos " in three weeks.

I'm not going to make it either. Price for renting a F250-350 truck would have been $800-$1000, and it would have cost me 2 more vacation days for pick-up and return. Then add another $500-$600 for fuel. $1500 just for transportation is more than I can swallow. Of course it figures the weather looks to be near perfect this year.  :(

I feel ya Doug the first year I went I rented a yukon and it was like 250 a day plus extra mileage. I got to the reunion my car ran like crap and I didnt have what I needed to fix it so I went home to save some rental fees. It still cost me with mileage. Well what were you bringing anyway Doug dont you have a new setup.

Joe, I was just going to bring the Mustang. I do have some major changes coming up for it, but was hoping I could run it one more time at the Reunion in its current state. The last couple years have not been kind to any of my plans though. :(

I'd love to be there but the Commies that lead us prevent that.  :-[

Sorry to hear about Doug. I was going to look you up tomorrow.
I’m looking forward to more hot FEs rolling in for Saturday action.

Great weather.
Bump for Elite 8 was 9.51 and change. Tony Fritz won it piloting a Maverick. I believe he originally missed the field by thousandths but got in after one of the 8 could not go.
Many stout cars.

Jim,

I saw that the NHRA event at Reading PA was the same weekend. Was attendance at FERR down this year? Looking at the webcam and youtube videos I didn't see a big crowd.

Does anybody know if the 2022 FE Reunion will be back to the April dates, or stay with the 2021 September date? Now that I am "only" 1200 miles from Beaver Springs, compared to almost 4000 miles before, I was really hoping to make this years event, but the Canada/US Border situation squashed that.Hopefully next year!
