QT bellhousing experiences in Mustang/Cougar
« on: March 06, 2020, 01:00:21 AM »
Wondering about specific experiences running the QT bell in a Mustang with factory linkage?  I've heard of numerous geometry problems with the QT involving the clutch fork location (pivot angle?), but understand that some applications such as full-size Fords may have more difficulties than others.  Since I'm considering one for my Mustang, I wanted to ask about this one specifically.  Thanks

I extended my z-bar about 3/4" to cleanup the alignment, likely would have worked as is.

I use a McLeod sof-loc clutch with my QT in a 63 Fairlane with 68.5 CJ fork and I had to double the block plate for everything to fit inside and work . I have no idea how a stock clutch fitment is with  the QT , I went from Auto to stick with slipper clutch
