Aftermarket rocker shaft installation

I have some .250 wall gun drilled rockers shafts I got from DSC a few years ago. Building a new rocker assembly. I forget, do the angled grooves at the holes go on top or the bottom?

I had some old FPP shafts that the rocker oiler holes were off-center of the shaft bolt/stud holes.  I thought the rocker oiler holes on these should always be pointed down towards the valves, but I could be wrong.  Barry, what say you?  FYI, I just got a new set of shafts from Harland Sharp and the rocker oiler holes are in line with the shaft mounting holes, so there is no issue there.

If you have shafts with two sets of holes, you will have one set that faces down towards the valves and one set that goes up toward the intake manifold.

The two hole shafts, you have to look where the most force is applied and that is where the oil holes need to be.  Like Brent said, down and towards the intake manifold.  If you look at it from the end of the head with the rockers installed, it's the area where the pushrod is at.

My first 428, 30 yrs ago, had a squeaky rocker assembly.  Seems somewhere along the lines, the PO put the shaft in backwards and upside down.
