It's a 4-star Bitch to get "pecan halves" even with the machine, ( they use to call them "Nut Rockets" ) inside the cups there are tiny X'd blades that encourge the nut to cleanly break. Hard to get just enough force to "pop" the shell w/o crunching the whole dang pecan.
My feeling is the pecans better be free because even at minimum wage it's cheaper to buy them then the time it takes.

Hey that's not fair I should dig some proprietary farm tools out you will never identify as anyone besides me or my dad who can identify it is dead LOL.
