Since I have never owned a 68 428 CJ, I don`t know what cranks they may have had, mine were all 69 & 70 engines. And although not technically an industrial engine, the 428 I have in my 59, was a over the counter 428 CJ "service" short block. As Ross mentioned, it has a 1UB crank, and is still wearing is "428 Super" cast pistons, although the rods are the 13/32" C7AE versions, but unlike the CJ rods that were installed in production cars, that had the oddball 19/32" rod nuts, these rod bolts have 5/8" head nuts. I have had this engine for over 30 years ago, and when I tore it down a few years ago, I noticed the DAB bearings and block date codes were all from 1973. To be honest,I visually never noticed any difference between the 1U and 1UB cranks anyhow, (while the SCJ 1UA is easy to tell by the missing counterweight). The regular 1U cranks have never given me any issue during hundreds of low 10, and a few high 9 ET second passes in my Fairmont, dumping the clutch at over 6000 RPM.
