I wanted to thank those who offered it for their time an input. Some even offered spares and tools. I admit the the bad block has really made this frustrating, not to mention time consuming and expensive. Pulling an engine three times from a completed vehicle with fresh paint with a few hundred miles is a first for me.
I normally have nothing of this nature transpire with my builds over the years. I am careful and meticulous but we're dealing with 50 year old components in many cases and failures do occur.
There seems to be a few anomalies when it comes to the FE and the experience here is a learning curve.
Hopefully this will be successful and I can enjoy driving the car for a long time before another rebuild is necessary.
