Kinda cool unit.  Likely was toter for mobile homes.  Studebaker made a very similar unit, but it was "extendable".

Cool little truck, although I couldn't imagine driving it far without a back brace..lol
I don't get why the 5th wheel mount is a couple feet behind the rear axle though. Put a couple thousand pounds of weight on the tongue and things could get a little sketchy under less than ideal conditions.

They still needed 4ft of clearance to swing the nose of trailer around, so thus the hitch is way back.  I would guess moving the axle back would have been a much better situation.  I bet they didn't drive it fast or in bad weather anyway?

Wasn't sure then, but sure now. I was hoping he would take the bait and make for some fun. You guys should know that about me by now.
