390 Builder EDC-E Heads Streetmaster Intake
« on: August 20, 2018, 12:57:33 PM »
Hello All.

This is a 390 builder I am moving on from as I found myself a 428 to use instead.

I have had this set of heads for decades, really nice set of castings that are in nice shape with no damage or issues.

EDC-E castings with machined combustion chambers.

The block date code is 9E24. It is hard to read, but it is a 9 with a dash under it.

The head date codes are 76D & 86F, the early casting has the freeze plug in the ends, the later one does not.

The block is standard bore, the crank is standard / standard.

It has a matched set of C7AE-B rods, the timing cover, and a good set of nonadjustable shafts / rockers.

This is the 3rd Streetmaster intake I have owned, I blasted it because someone painted it black.

This is the cleanest one I have had to date. All the threads are 100% except the water outlet threads for the heater core. They are not that crisp.

I think it is a reasonably easy fix. It looks like it could be chased with a pipe tap, and then use some thread sealer on it.

I was going to freshen this up with a set of .030 forged pistons, send the heads out for a CJ valve job, and put new rings / bearings in it, but am moving on to the 428 instead.

Located south of Boston, MA.

Asking $800.00 for everything as seen and I am open to offers or trades.

Thanks, Mike Howard

I would love to have the short block and intake but I just ran the shipping and it is way high to AR.

How much for the intake alone?

I am not going to break up the package at this point, was actually thinking about those .030 forged pistons with the crusty pins Barry has, but would really like to move on at this point.

There is a Fastenal location across the street from my work if that helps.

I can pallet, shrink wrap, and deliver to that location (Braintree, MA 02184) for the asking price.

Thanks, Mike H.
