Engine mounts Fairlane/Galaxie
« on: May 31, 2018, 03:39:24 AM »
Anyone that knows if the enginemounts that bolts to the
Chassie is the same on FE Galaxie/Fairlane -66.
Boltpattern looks very similar if my memory serves me
right about the Fairlane?

They look different, stuffing an Fe into a 66 Fairlane brings about lots of adult non English words.

Those are fabricated mounts and they look different but
wounder how factory mount looks like.
I see now the BP is not symetrical while the Galaxie is

Yes i had one 66 with a fe instaled by......Bubba
had to re do everything and i used so much adult language
that i washed my toung with soap my self ;D

Stepson bought A 66 and eventualy it gets a FE
and i had a set of Galaxie mounts and i think they can fit
thinking of it the mounts i made should be somewhere ???

I have a set of FE mounts from my 67 Fairlane if you need them. Frame mounts and motor mounts. I went with aftermarket.

Thanks for the offer Scott, I tell him he have to decide what
engine to use and let you know if he make the right move
Do you have a pic of the frame mount so i can compare
with the Galaxie mounts i have? I saw now the Galaxie
mount have asymetrical BP to. No need to send them
halfway around the world if i have mounts he can use

LOL, only half kidding - I intend to make some plates for the Falcon and the 351C, just because it'll be quicker and easier to R&R the motor/trans.  No chassis mods other than brackets for the plates.

Yes much easier to get the engine in and out with plates and...
That front end with shocktowers is heavy....and easier to build
headers with out innerfenders.. ;D ;D it has a tendencies to snowball

He just want a cruiser with some extra power
