Some years ago I was involved with a silver mine in Nevada. While visiting there we also looked at other old mines in the area. One of them---FAR off the beaten path---was also being used as a storage spot for several '53 Merc cars and a whole row of 59A and 8BA motors, all lined up in a row on a bunch of railroad ties with a tarp over the works held down by rocks along the edges. I'd have tried to bring one home with me but it would have made my pocket bulge and they probably wouldn't have let me on the airplane with it.

I've got a small stash of good 8BA motors, complete, if somebody needs one. I'm keeping the Mercury engines for a project.
