If the BBM's are still on sale, that deal would be very hard to beat considering the evidence we have seen of their performance IMO.

Felony heads are also very good heads from survival motorsports, and they are all USA made.

Don't forget the various Edalbrock heads, pond heads, Blue Thunder, Shelby, and Dove.
Oh and let's not forget speed master lol..
And yeah, a few are not as street friendly as others, I do realize that. Just tossing a few heads out there for fryedaddy to check out.
For starters you know..

Hard to beat a BBM or Survival head.    Both of them will hit pert near 300 cfm out of the box.

Edelbrocks are around the 260-270 mark.

Ponds are meant for large bore blocks.  Some of the BT heads require some fancy rocker setups.

Just for comparison sake, I built a 428, 11:1, Edelbrock heads with a good valve job and bowl work, 248/254 @ .050" solid roller, .670" lift, 110 LSA, and a Tunnel Wedge.  It made 533 hp @ 6500.

For you to hit 550-600 hp with a 428, you're gonna need more camshaft and some fancy heads.

thanks for all the great info.my uncle was building my 428 and he got sick and passed away before he got finished with it.he was going to go pretty radical with it,but we didnt get to so i settled for a milder engine.now that i have a nickle or two to spend on it,im going to see if i can beef her up a bit. i guess i shouldnt throw any hp numbers around. lets just say im looking for some heads that are a lot better than stock, streetable, good right out of the box
