This technically isn't "technical", but I wasn't sure where to post it. It IS FE though, so I put it here

Feel free to move it if you prefer, Jay.
You could put hundreds of photos on here and still not show what all there was to see, but I'll try to post a few I thought were interesting.
A small sampling Friday of what was to come Saturday.

A row of Hot FE class cars ready to run.

The SUPER nice ramp truck used to haul the Fuelie Fairlane below it. It was small block powered, but this truck was beautiful inside and out.

The Fuel Injected Fairlane.

The blown Comet Altered. This car was pretty cool, running on a fairly mild street tune and through the full exhaust out the back. It was just BEGGING to have the fenderwell headers uncorked! He did make some runs and it ran pretty well and seemed stable going down the track. They did a nice job on the car.

The ramp truck was pretty cool, and it gets my vote for Best Car Hauler, but Larrys Mack would always win best Race Rig. It just looks cool. Wish I could have seen him going down the road in it.

Other cars that were just plain cool and nicely done. At least some of many...
A very nice "Peanuts" Galaxie. Done as a tribute to Al Joniec.

A really sharp '64 done the old fashioned way....it earned it

An absolutely BEAUTIFUL 406 Tri-power Convertible. This car would have been perfect if it weren't for a blade of grass on one of the tires

There were quite a few really nice Starliners there also. More than I had ever seen together in one place. This '61 390 Tri-power was another beautiful example. Another car that would have been absolutely perfect if it weren't for a piece of dust that had blown in off the field and landed on it

A really clean installation in a black '55 Ford 2dr post car. I really liked this car and Dick Brannan voted it his favorite. Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of the car

The Edsel Wagon that won best of show. SUPER clean and nice.

I like wagons. Especially 2 door cars. I have a '58 2-dr that I'll be dragging out of storage soon. This 427 2x4 powered '57 was neat and had been together quite a while.

This Fuel Injected Tri-power Starliner had a full new Mustang racing front suspension on it. A lot of work, but it was very nicely done.

A '73 Mustang with a 427....which I promptly showed to a buddy of mine who has a '72 Mach 1...lol

A really nice Comet and Torino. The Torino had a nice looking Crossram on it. The engine looked nice with the intake, clean installation job and clear dizzy cap. I imagine that thing gives off quite a light show at night!

Barry's table showing a set of his CNC heads, a set of his MR stands, one of Jays unported adapters and his removeable timing cover along with Barry's hopefully soon to be available prototype adjustable timing set. I think it's awesome that these two are working together on this and coming up with a useable design for us FE'ers. I have one of Jays adapters and covers, so I'll definitely be in line for the adjustable set. Finally got a chance to buy Barrys and Jays books also...without paying shipping. Yeah, I'm cheap

I'm only showing this one to put a little fear into Barry. My "negotiator" almost had him giving me a set of CNC ported heads before he knew what he was doing. Sadly, he came out of his initial deer-in-the-headlights mode and promptly asked us to leave....with his condolences to me...lol Whenever I saw him after that, he waved, but I think he was actually waving me on. Or maybe it was some other jesture

The '58 that's always worth showing, just because I like '58s, and because it's super fast. In fact, the fastest car there. Capable of low 9s and I've seen it in the 8s in good conditions.

An Honorable Mention from the parking lot. A 1960 F-250 4wd. Only the second year for the 4wd. I had a '59 some years ago and really wish I had kept it. These trucks are just no-bones cool. It's powered by the original 223, I chatted with the owner for a while. The 223 engine in mine was the first engine I ever rebuilt and is still going good after 30 years in another truck.

This car was just downright cool in my book. Perhaps the coolest car there, but then you guys know I'm just a bit partial to '69s

I also almost missed it. I only saw it as we were walking on our way out Saturday when everyone was loading their cars.
This is Pat Schumachers old SS Mustang that he ran in 1970-71. Although It also ran in Stock for a time I believe. I remember this car from Ohio, where he was based, when I was very young. The current owner has had it since 1971 after buying it off Tom. It held the National Record at one point. The car is so original it's amazing. Same candy metallic paint, which had a really neat cracking/crazing going on under the paint that looked like it was supposed to be that way! Same graphics and stickers, with just a few stickers added over the years, but still had the painters and stripers signatures on the quarter pillars. Original interior, all the mods that were done to the car in its original form, including a T-bolt style rear suspension set-up that tied into the frame inside the car (which I DIDN'T get a picture of...stupid!

) . Original old school "hoop" style roll bar. Except for the engine, radiator, wheels, the two extra dash gauges and I think the switch box, this car is just as it was ran in 1970. A super piece of semi-obscure history. The gentleman that owned it was there with his family I believe and was super nice in answering a lot of questions and telling me about it. You just don't see the old race cars in this original condition anymore.

If you scroll about halfway down this page to page 107 (21-106 aren't shown anyway), there is some history about Tom Schumacher if none of you have heard of him.
