CFM per square inch
« on: December 10, 2014, 10:15:18 PM »
I am doing some estimating on port size/volume to get an idea of what I will need to do for my upper end. If I use .2575 X 340 X 8 I come up with  700 HP as a base line. To achieve this flow how much square area in a dry plenum would I need ? I am using port injection so are my rules going to change? If I use 340 / 3.5 it looks like  97.14 per square inch. These numbers seem sound, what do you guys think? Would the denser unsaturated air actually produce a exaggerated cfm due to more oxygen and no fuel?  It would seem if this were true then my required square area would actually drop to some degree. Thanks.....Jon
