This is the new name of the old Mass-Flo EFI brand. I purchased the older system, i think in 2009 for my 482. At that time, it used a standard Ford A9L ECU from '88-'92 mustangs that came preprogrammed for your stated application. It also came with a Mallory FE distributor that had been nicely modified to mount the Ford TFI ignition module to it. At that time, the "tune" could not be accessed or modified by the end user unless you bought a device called the Quarterhorse from another manufacturer. It sounds like the programming is far more accessible now and it appears that the TFI module is not mounted in the distributor anymore, where it had well known heat issues.
That being said, i never got my system to work properly. Not blaming Mass-Flo at all, but as a former electrical engineer with all the diagnostic tools the world at my disposal, i expected to have better luck. Again, i do think it was and is a good system, but not for me. There is at least one user of the older system that frequents this site. Worked well for him.
I went with FAST. I was able to use the intake, injectors, rails and throttle body that i already had fortunately.
One more word.. There is NO SUCH THING as plug-n-play. Certainly not with an FE with a big cam anyway. Anyone who says differently is badly uninformed.
