The Ocala museum is well worth a visit...I certainly hope to go back again.  And it has a lot more than just Garlits' cars.

I was visiting the museum the day Andy Grannatelli's 62 Twin Paxton Dodge rolled out of the transported , Don drove up in (I believe) his parents 30(?) Ford, the next 30 mins cemented Don Garlits as OUR leader. He is a Hot Rodder ,he is one of us, as his finger traced the bezles of the curved glass SW gauges he talked TO me like we had been friends for years. I could feel that he remembered the day those gauges came out, or when he got his first set. We talked about the curved steel plate bolted to the floor , how rule books are writen in blood....just amazing.
My friend is a bike guy , knew the name but nothing else , he was floored how Don Galits and I just talked , liked old friends. Another Galits Fan.

Oh and it's all on Video Tape , someday Scott will find it, and it will go on You Tube.
