I found a "standard catalog of FORD 1903-1990" by Robert Lichty 1995.
Well of coruse I had to flip through it.
No wonder the myth about the 1968 427 Mustang is out there.
Page 286 he lists it as an option.
Even my old original 68 owners manual lists it. LOL
Pretty neat book though. Lots of black and white pics of lots the models.
