If you are going to use the 600 cfm Holleys, then set them up as if they were single carbs, but adjust them for idle using both carbs secondary plates to keep the idle from going rich.  Normally you need the idle transfer slot in the secondary to show about .020", but for 2-carbs, then adjust it down to ~.015-.018 each, then adjust idle to best settings.  This is one of those cases where I would suggest you buy a pair of carbs for the intended purpose of the car.  JMO, but I have raced/driven all the basic combinations in 8V configuration, and for street they will work fine, but racing needs a race oriented carb such as the 660.  Joe-JDC

Depends. I'd try the stock pumps first and only switch to the race-oriented 50cc pumps later if need be. As Joe said, get what you've got tuned as well as possible first and experiment later....unless this is a full race engine and based upon past posts, it doesn't sound like it.

Just a WAG here, but you need to see what the engine wants.  My opinion would be start with a pair of blue pump cams and 30cc pumps.  They have quicker ramp and move volume overall.

If you don't get there with that, you are only out a few bucks.  Then you can go with the fire hose.

Other things that will help, with your planned build, small inch / big cam / big plenum, I'd keep intake centerline early as you can to match the build, and stay on the high side of initial timing, especially if it idles at 1200 or so.  Both of those things will drive vacuum up which will help you avoid the 50cc pumps
